Information
We plan on offering several scholarships this summer. Scholarships will be awarded on a space-available basis and early
applicants will have the best chances. Due to the overwhelming interest, we are instituting the following requirements for
all scholarship applicants:
- Only students eligible for free or reduced lunches will be eligible for full scholarships.
- There will be limit of 10 scholarships awarded per school. If space is available after the deadline, additional scholarships may be awarded. It is up to the school to determine the 10 individuals that should be considered.
- Transportation will be offered to students living in the City of Rochester according to the following schedule:
- Week one (July 7 - 11) -- Mission to Mars Camp. Recommended for students entering grades 5 - 8. Transportation offered for South half of city.
- Week two (July 14 - 18) -- Crime Scene Investigations. Recommended for students entering grades 6 - 9. Transportation offered for North half of city.
- Week three (July 21 - 25) -- Harry Potter Potions. Recommended for students entering grades 4 - 7. Transportation offered for North half of city.
- Week four (July 28 - Aug 1) -- Harry Potter: Where science and a Wizard's World Collide. Recommended for students in grades 5 - 8. Transportation for South half of city.
- Students will only be eligible for one week of scholarship.
Application
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, the following must be included in the application packet.
- Completed registration form.
- Individual letter of recommendation from teacher (preference is for science teacher).
- Proof of eligibility for free or reduced lunches.
- Submission of completed Code of Conduct form.
- (If city of Rochester resident) notification of where student will need transportation from for the camp week.
Applications must be submitted prior to May 15th to be considered. Scholarship winners will be notified after that date.
